We are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Support Manager to join our team. The primary role is to provide technical support at Greencore sites covering Technical Manger, QA Manager or project work.
This is a permanent role within Greencore, and covers both the Group Technical function and site based roles. Therefore we are looking for people who are flexible regarding location as you will be required to work on a number of different sites as and when the need arises. This is a tremendous opportunity for the ideal candidate to develop depth of experience across our full Category range.
There is also a requirement for this role to support our Group Technical function.
Key accountabilities
Site Based Activity:
Ensure that company Health and Safety requirements are met at all times.
Deliver agreed site based objectives.
Support the Greencore sites to maintain and drive technical standards under guidance of Technical Controllers.
Update relevant Technical Controller on progress at site
To keep the Group Technical Controllers and Technical Director informed of issues.
Group Based Activity:
Develop and implement training at sites to support these standards.
Provide site support as and when required in response to customer demands, major incidents or specific issues.
Assist the Technical Controllers in the management of Group contracts (e.g. Pest Control, ATP swabs etc)
Develop best practice where applicable at sites in conjunction with the Group Technical Controller.
Conduct training for sites and Group as and when required both on courses that have already been prepared and on new topics that require writing.
To keep the Group Technical Controllers and Technical Director informed of issues.
Project management as directed by the Technical Controller.
Skills & experience
Previous experience within the food industry within the role of Technical Manage
Effective planning and organising skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Flexible and adaptable to new surroundings
Open and honest approach
