The primary responsibilities of the position are to control and develop the special processes required to support the manufacture of Rotatives components
Processes include cleaning, etching, painting, NDT, electron beam welding, and plasma nitriding.
The role also involves ensuring the engineering specifications are satisfied for new part introduction and ongoing manufacture.
Continuous improvement, process compliance and control, trouble-shooting, detailed investigations, and non-conformance assessment are key aspects of the role.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work well through individual initiative and in mixed discipline teams.Liaison with interface areas (internal and external) is a vital aspect.
A Degree in Materials Science or Metallurgy or a related subject would be preferred, candidates without such a qualification but who have significant relevant experience will also be considered. Knowledge of materials, special processes, and familiarity with quality procedures is also preferred.
