Our client a long established leading UK aluminium foundry are looking to recruit a Pattern Maker to join their team in Hadleigh, Ipswich.
The right candidate must have served a full recognised apprenticeship in Foundry pattern making.
Preferable qualifications:
City & Guilds part 1 & part 2 (or NVQ Equivalent)
FITC (Foundry institute training committee) part 1 & part 2
Certificate of craftsmanship
Seal of Merit
You will be highly skilled in the use of all woodworking hand tools and the use of all woodworking machinery
You will have the ability to work to tight tolerances.
Be experienced in working with materials such as Wood / Metal / Casting resins / Various grades of ureol tooling boards
You will be able to interpret engineering drawings, to work to high standards and tight deadlines, have an understanding of sand foundry practices and casting machining practices.
Knowledge of CAD, CAM and CNC Milling is an advantage.
