Job Title: Managing Director, Sales (Investment Services)

The IS division provides software and hosted solutions for all aspects of trade processing, settlement, accounting to buy and sell side organizations. We are a leader in the middle-back office solution space with a large client base.
Fiserv is currently in search for a Managing Director, Sales within the Investment Services business unit based in our London office, to develop and leverage internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business and sales goals.
The Managing Director leads the regional team by providing clarity of vision; prioritizing resources; facilitating alignment of the team; setting high expectations; inspiring commitment; encouraging mutual support; and enabling development opportunities.
Develops and implements multiyear business and profitable growth strategies for a region to deliver increased sales opportunities by managing financial performance; implementing sales plans for growth; assessing economic factors, demographic trends, and competitive strategy; and leveraging relationships with potential and existing clients.
Implements and models customer service standards across the region by ensuring unbeatable excellence in sales performance.
Manages overall sales performance of the region by analyzing and reconciling financial reports; creating and administering P&L budgets; determining trends and areas of opportunity; advising others on cost control methods; and resolving budgetary issues.
Provides overall direction for the region by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer and sales focused environment; and demonstrating adaptability.
An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or as necessary.
Bachelor’s degree and 7 to 10 years in a progressive sales and managing role
Ability to provide overall leadership and direction to the business
Must have an in-depth knowledge of business and operations in the financial services industry
Excellent human relation skills, including written and verbal communications and group presentation skills
Skill in sales and negotiating techniques
Must be able to organize activities and handle multiple projects simultaneously with effective and timely follow-up on each
Must be a strategic sales individual with successful experience managing an established sales team, preferably in the financial services software industry
Proven sustained track record of successful sales leadership with experience closing deals that are complex
Experience growing a sales team
Possess a positive attitude while operating under pressure, and be an independent problem-solver
Ability to manage a team that involves complex selling (solution selling) using a proven sales methodology
Proven ability to successfully manage/balance the needs of the overall business and the sales team
Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels of client and company management
A true team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with executives both within our company and with potential clients
Creativity in proposing and evaluating new business possibilities
A sense of urgency and impatience with the status quo
Ability to work well within a dynamic, matrixed organization
