12 month Contract for Technical Clerk or Technical Assistant
A vacancy has arisen for a Technical clerk / Manufacturing Engineer working within the Continuous Improvement manufacturing Engineering team at the Combustion & Casings Facility in Hucknall. The facility has invested heavily over the last few years, purchasing new coordinate measuring machines and implementing new inspection plans. The successful candidate will help deliver capable inspection systems in line with the Clients GQPs and Measurement Excellence Standards. CBCC is a Manufacturing Plant and part of the Combustion and casings business.
The manufacturing engineering department is the Technical Authority for all work which takes place within the plant ranging from methods to produce and inspect parts, managing and defining product cost and delivering improvements programs to the business.
Key responsibilities are:
Creation/Modification of First article Inspection reports. - Creation/Modification of Technical Instructions. - Creation/Modification of Fixed process documents. - Supporting Product audits.
Essential Skills/Experience are :
Fluent in interpretation of drawings, GD&T, ASME, ISO 10360 standards. - Experience of Quality systems (FAIR/FPDs) - Manufacturing and technical instructions - Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. - Good standard of literacy and analytical skills. - Good communications skills and able to work in a team environment. - Ability to work under pressure without comprising the integrity of the product/process.
