Managing up to eight project managers across the US and the UK and a budget of £5-£30m, youâll play a vital role in translating business requirements into operational plans. Among other things, this will involve directing, monitoring and reviewing all programme activities, including programme costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, programme resources and programme risks.

Always with an eye on delivering positive business change, youâll guide senior business stakeholders to solutions that maximise National Grid investments in technology, and youâll ensure effective transition planning to minimise risk. Furthermore, youâll continuously assess programme priorities, resolve resourcing and asset conflicts, undertake formal reviews of the programme and manage stakeholders.

To join, youâll need more than substantial programme management experience. Youâll need strong leadership, relationship and communication skills, as well as a successful track record of delivering successful IT programmes. Youâll also need the ability to influence senior stakeholders, and feel comfortable working in an outsourced environment.
