This is a six week paid internship, with the potential to go permanent for the right person.

Renewable World is a UK based charity set up by individuals from the Renewable Energy Industry in 2008 to act as the link between the European Renewable Energy sector and energy poor communities who are most vulnerable to climate change.

Renewable World tackles poverty in developing countries by enabling the provision of affordable renewable energy systems for remote off-grid communities. Our projects light up homes, schools and clinics; clean water is pumped to households for washing, cleaning and cooking, and to fields for crop irrigation. Access to energy stimulates trade and enterprise and improves access to health and education opportunities.

Working closely with the Development Officer, tasks to potentially include:


Website: Undertake desktop research of organisational and project material for the new Renewable World website. Support the Development Officer in producing a draft design and content of pages.

Social Media: coordinate Renewable World's Social Media Campaign.

Christmas cards campaign.

Events support and administration: to include marketing campaign for upcoming challenge events.

Challenge events: event support and administration including supporting the marketing campaign for existing and new challenge events.

Gifts in kind: contact local and national companies to support us with gifts in kind. Organise raffle for a Renewable Energy conference in November.

Person requirements

Degree level / higher education level qualification required, or equivalent experience.

Skills and experience in the following areas is preferred:

  • Business development / marketing / advertising
  • Third sector fundraising
