The Global Business Unit (GBU) is responsible for managing the commercial buying relationship of their top 20 global suppliers, with whom they have an annual turnover in excess of £10 Billion.
Position: Global Partner Commercial Manager
Salary: Circa £50-65K
The Category National Account Manager will ensure Tesco maximise communication and engagement with their in market commercial teams and their supplier partners to deliver the desired profitable growth our global scale should unlock. Focus is to work with the commercial teams in regions to align the regional and country commercial plans to enable the supplier joint business plans to dovetail with the regional priorities.
a) Work with the in-market commercial teams, capability managers, suppliers, Dunhumby and category marketing team to ensure suppliers build insight led business plans of a quality that results in sales growth outperformance in the market average.
b) Manage the commercial relationship with partner suppliers ensuring improvement, performance and business improvement for all parties.
c) Work cross functionally in partnership with our peers and key stakeholders to ensure delivery of the performance standards.
d) Develop supplier forecasts (medium >long term); and providing insights / recommendation to GBU and Buying colleagues to inform the buying strategy.
e) Investigate issues identified via market intelligence.
f) Develop productive relationships with industry experts, colleagues and stakeholders, energise and influence others to get the job done and deliver great results.
g) High quality external analysis to ensure we deliver our targets.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Strong account management experience within a Global retailer with a demonstrable track record of delivering sales.
b) Excellent understanding of the entire supply chain and supplier relationships, especially large FMCG.
c) Use data robustly, have strong attention to detail and maintain excellence by ensuring all information is ready to report on a timely basis.
d) Responsive and manage competing demands, maintain the critical path, recognise trends, resolve problems and identify opportunities to improve.
e) Great MS Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
f) Great report writing, presenting and influencing skills.
