Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Trust was formed in 2001, gaining Foundation Trust status in 2007. It covers an area of 1,000 square miles and serves a population of 418,000 across north Nottinghamshire, as well as parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire. The Trust provides comprehensive district general and acute hospital services at two sites: King’s Mill Hospital in Sutton in Ashfield and Newark Hospital. It also provides community services, including inpatient and outpatient services from Mansfield Community Hospital and Ashfield Health Village, sexual health services, early discharge support for stroke patients and wheelchair services.

The Trust employs over 4,000 staff, has more than 600 volunteers and can boast 20,300 public members - the highest in the East Midlands region. In addition, the Trust assesses and treats more than 500,000 patients each year with over 3,000 babies being delivered by Trust midwifery staff.

King’s Mill Hospital has recently undergone a radical transformation to create World-class facilities. The outpatient clinics are set in the contemporary King’s Treatment Centre, and the spacious new wards offer 50% ensuite single rooms. A brand new Women and Children’s Centre and Emergency Care Centre have recently been completed.

We have the opportunity for enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join our Ward Team within the Emergency Care and Medical Division.

The wards within Emergency Care and Medicine are busy 24 bedded facilities which provides care and support to patients and their families. The wards cater for acute medical patients including respiratory medicine, diabetes, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine etc.

If you are a Registered Nurse with highly developed communication skills a passion for medicine and are looking for a fresh challenge we would like to hear from you, in return you will find absolute commitment to your professional development.

The successful applicant must:
• Be a first level Registered Nurse
• Have good organisational skills
• Be able to work flexibly within the department/ward when required
