The role holder is a Test Automation champion and senior hands on expert, contributing leadership and advanced Test Automation and Quality Assurance capability to the Technology team, working on our media and enterprise systems and their supporting technologies, related products and services. Role Responsibilities:o Provide strong leadership and hands on expertise to Technology in the specialism of test automation including related strategies, tools, and techniques.o Develop and maintain appropriate test automation frameworks, test harnesses, test scripts, test environments and test data to support testing of systems and products.o Identify, select and/or develop and deploy appropriate test automation tools for effective testing of sprint and release deliverables e.g. scrum goalso Manage defects ensuring they are correctly recorded, reported, followed up, and retested for effective resolution.o Contribute towards the development and implementation of quality improvement plans for the NM Technical environment.o Contribute to the success of the scrum team or wider QA team even if a particular task might exceed the requirements of a strict role definition.o Take responsibility for personal development in the role, keeping abreast with technologies, test tools, test techniques. o Mentoring and educating the wider technology team.Experience & Personal Attributes Required:(Please state where the attributes are * Essential / *Desirable to the role)o Essential: Strong team playero Essential: Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills at all levels.o Essential: Commitment to timely achievement of business goals with high technical excellence.o Essential: Strong background in Technical testing and QA: design, planning, creation, execution.o Essential: Strong experience with common test automation and test management tools e.g.

QTP, Selenium, Xpath, and Quality Centre.o Essential: Experience with test automation frameworks e.g. keyword driven, data driven, hybrid.o Essential: Knowledge of Scrum and/or agile development techniques, ideally in a test driven development environment.o Essential: Understanding of large-scale websites architecture and infrastructure.o Essential: Experience of working with relational databases and SQL.o Essential: Experience with large scale search engine technologies, Marklogic strongly desired.Qualifications/Skills:Essentialo Graduate Calibre with Computer Science or equivalent degree.o Software testing training and certification in test automation. o Advanced level test automation skills for testing web components and applications in a fast paced agile development.o Software development skills in Java/ Linux environment especially web services and XML processingo Strong skills in scripting (JavaScript, VBScript, shell scripting) in a technical test environment.o Ability to manage junior QA/test engineers in Test Automation tasks. Experience with common operating systems, especially Linux and Windows.Desirableo Experience working with Apache & Tomcat, xml services.
