Our client is a young, dynamic, revolutionary multi-disciplinary design agency with studios in the East midlands and London. They are a top 50-design company working with some of the top global brands including the likes of Nokia, Barclays and TK Maxx. There are currently 65 members of staff, a number which is expected to increase substantially over the next few years.
They are looking for an IT innovative professional with circa three years experience predominantly in the Apple Mac area. You will be responsible for supporting the network of Apple desktops, software, servers and network across their two offices. You will also provide an integral voice for the wider direction which the company takes in terms of their technological direction. You should be a blue sky thinker always on top of the latest creative technologies so you can consult and advise management to make sure they retain and build on their current market position.
The position is based in the Melbourne (Derbyshire) studio with some travel to the London studio as and when required.
Required core experience & knowledge of:
Apple OSX desktop and server
Microsoft office for mac
Adobe products, CS5, flash, after effects & other creative software packages
Apple remote desktop
Knowledge of the Apple App store
Running virtual PC ie VM ware and windows
You will be responsible for the procurement of all new equipment and software and generally ensuring they are running the latest and most effective software so you should also have a good commercial understanding with the ability to express yourself fluently to senior management.
Knowledge of LAN networks would be an advantage including switch management, VPN connections, IP management.
