Our client, a large and well established, market leading financial services organisation is undertaking a major project of change within their wholesale division. They seek an experienced project manager to ensure that they are simplifying their process as much as possible to ensure that this area of the business is as lean as it possibly can be. This will be achieved by working with different area's of the business, not associated with commercial, but still having an impact on the area. The project manager will also be working with Relationship managers to help simplify their role to provide better customer service.
Responsibilities include:
Establishing, controlling, managing and monitoring project timescales and outputs, taking appropriate action where necessary
Timely and accurate completion of all project deliverables, assessing and managing risks and identifying counter measures.
Developing and maintaining effective working and influencing relationships with appropriate colleagues and external suppliers; influencing 'buy-in'.
Planning, communicating and implementing change ensuring all those affected fully understand the benefits, nature and implications of such changes.
Defining the project roles and responsibilities
Establishing effective project controls and procedures, following CCM governance processes
Establishing, monitors and manages overall Project Risks, Issues, Dependencies, Assumptions and Change Control, with escalation where appropriate
Managing the project business case
Controlling the day-to-day operation of the Project ensuring that delivery of the Project is to time and against the agreed plans, including tracking Project expenditure within budget
Monitoring overall progress and initiates corrective action as appropriate
Ensuring the Project remains aligned with business needs
Liaison with, and updates progress to, project team meetings / senior management reviews / execution board / steering committee; includes producing regular reports (progress / status / R&I's)
Obtaining authorisations required by the Project
Setting the scope and targets for each work-stream and agreeing detailed work plans
Managing the process for benefits management and benefits measurement
Ensuring that all involved in the project have a common understanding of both the business impacts, needs and the project deliverables
Assessment and recommendation of options, in conjunction the Work-Stream Groups
Producing and maintaining the Project Management Plan
To be considered for this role you should be a proven self started who has experience working as a project manager, delivering to cross functional projects.
