Unique opportunity for an experienced and Skilled Stator Winder to
work for a thriving business in the field of high voltage
generators and power management systems. You will produce a fully
wound component for delivery to Final Assembly, ensuring all
specifications are met. The successful Stator Winder will wind
large (2 pole) rotors and large bar stators for turbo-generators
with output ranging from 25mw to 200mw. Duties will include the
winding skills of Coil Insertion, Wedging, Brazing, Connecting,
Insulating Coil Noses and Taping. The role will involve
oxy-acetylene Torch Brazing.
Essential Skills:
Previous Stator Winding experience gained from an
Apprenticeship in Winding with post apprenticeship experience
Coil Insertion, Wedging, Brazing, Connecting, Insulating Coil
Noses and Taping, Oxy-acetylene Torch Brazing
Qualifications such as; NVQ 3, ONC or City & Guilds - along
with experience working within a large rotating machines
environment would be advantageous
Ability to understand English manufacturing drawings/process
specifications
Working knowledge of insulation materials and their
handling.

Salary: £22.7K (for day shift) Up to £30K for
permanent night shift
