This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual to join our Adult Design team, working on Headway, a flagship ELT title. The role involves developing inspiring and effective designs for a range of print and digital resources (including textbooks, CD-ROMs, websites, and interactive whiteboard materials). Reporting to a Design Project Manager, and working in cross-functional teams, this is a highly creative and hands-on role. You will work on all aspects of the design process, from original concept design, through imaginative visualizations and stunning layouts, to final files ready for print or digital delivery. You will also co-ordinate the work of external suppliers.
You’ll be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications for both print and digital products, have strong organizational and communication skills, and be able to work efficiently as part of a team, as well as independently.
You should possess:
exceptional design and typographic skills, and the ability to visualize
strong creative vision and concept development skills
a team-working approach to problem solving
the ability to prioritize and manage a challenging workload in order to meet deadlines
Ideally you will have experience of managing freelance suppliers.
You should be educated in Graphic Design to degree level (or equivalent), and have proven experience working in a professional publishing environment, producing design for print and digital products.
