A Service & Sales Assistant is required to join our team in South London. The working days for this role will be Saturday to Wednesday and shifts will be between 8 am and 8 pm. This is a 6 month fixed term contract.

WHAT THE SERVICE & SALES ASSISTANT JOB INVOLVES:
The Service & Sales Assistant role with UNITE is a varied and challenging one where no one day is the same. As a Service & Sales Assistant, working within a friendly and supportive team you will be playing a vital role in ensuring that customers living in our properties have a great experience.
Covering a number of properties, you will be providing a front of house reception service, including key management and handling lock outs, welcoming visitors and contractors to the properties and ensuring required maintenance or housekeeping works within the properties are reported and completed. With appropriate support and guidance, youll also be conducting sales conversations, show flat viewings, flat meetings and managing flat disputes.
Dealing with our customers face to face and over the phone, you will be managing customer related issues in a timely manner, engaging with other colleagues when required and providing a decisive and effective response to customer complaints, escalating when necessary with the appropriate support and guidance and the appropriate level of priority. You will also maintain positive community relationships with neighbours, local communities and local authorities.
There are also varied administration duties to keep you busy such as, maintaining UNITEs information systems, processing customer bookings and payments, chasing debt, conducting and logging room and communal area inspections, providing financial administration support under appropriate supervision, and undertaking any other ad hoc projects/additional tasks which may be required.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
A genuine passion for customer service is the most important quality for us. Although you may not have worked in the accommodation, hospitality or retail sectors before, you will have had experience in a customer facing role. If you have worked within a sales environment this would be an advantage, but it isnt essential.
To make sure that we are able to serve our customers needs we operate a flexible service and therefore its essential that youre able to work flexible hours, including weekends as required, and to take part in a rota.
Its really important to us that you thrive on understanding, empathising and delivering against customer needs and are able to communicate effectively with people. With so many customers and such a variety of work the environment is fast paced and exciting, so we need to know that you are able to work at pace, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy. Personal time management and prioritisation skills are key in this role and whilst self-motivation and working on your initiative are crucial, it`s also important that you are a first class team player who possesses a positive and collegiate attitude.
Our administrative processes are really important too, so it is essential that you are computer literate wth the ability to use Microsoft Office.
