The European Business Development Analyst would work within the European Business Development team and be responsible system administration, day to day project management and over time preparing tender and presentation responses to new business opportunities from both current and prospective clients. Winning new business is vital and the successful candidate should be over time required to make a proactive and value-adding contribution to this process.
An important part of the role is participation in various projects to ensure that the information presented to clients is topical and up to date. This will ensure a continual growth of experience and knowledge for the candidate. Most importantly we are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and proactive individual, who learns quickly and is able to multi-task effectively in a busy working environment.
Position responsibilities include:
CRM system management and updating
Completion of tender and presentation responses to new business opportunities from both current and prospective clients
Understanding the requirements of our clients and prospects and using this knowledge when putting together new business proposals..
Project management of the tender and presentation process from beginning to end
Participation in various projects to improve the quality of information provided to clients
Maintenance of administration systems that support the European Business Development team (although this will be a small part of the role)
Deal confidently with colleagues, clients, and other external third parties at different levels either face to face, telephone or email, developing professional relationships and building trust.
Ensure all relevant compliance processes are understood and followed where appropriate
Behave in accordance with Mercer Professional Standards
Team player with a proactive attitude
A high standard of consistent accuracy is a must
Be comfortable working in a demanding team environment
Proven planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks within agreed timeframes
Flexible to be able to work on a variety of varying projects
Educated to university level, willingness to study for the IMC
Intermediate working knowledge/ experience of powerpoint and word.
Intermediate working knowledge/ experience of Microsoft Outlook and excel
