My Bristol and London based client is looking for a Commvault Backup Consulant / Commvault Engineer to help with consolidation of CommCells to updated versions ofCommVault environment Backup Engineer/ Infrastructure Backup Engineer to consolidate two different CommCells into one, which would be running the latest version and be hosted at their data centre.
My client has approximately 60 remote offices which use Commvault as the backup solution - each will have its own media server and tape backup. As part of this project, they will expect the Commvell Backup Engineer/ Commvault Backup Engineer:
Analyse their current Commvault infrastructure and propose a solution
which will enable them to follow best practices
Make recommendations on where they can implement CDR and backup centrally instead of installing backup devices
Define global policies to reduce the amount of future effort in deployments and maintenance of existing sites.
Policies would need to be created for a number of server roles - eg File Print, Domino Server, SQL server.
Review their deployment of client licenses and advise if they are making the best use of the licenses they have.
Implement a new CommCell running CommVault Sympana 9.
Consolidate and then retire existing CommCells (running CommVault 7 and 6,1), upgrading the licenses at each of the remote sites.
Configure reports and documentation for ICT staff and tape handlers
