Mechanical Assembly Technician - Precision Assembly

A leading designer and manufacturer of high precision components used within high vacuum applications, due to growth are now looking for an additional Mechanical Assembly Technician to join their existing engineering team.

Reporting into the Assembly Manager and working within an ISO class 7 clean room environment, the successful individual will be responsible for the build/assembly of high precision scientific instruments in line with detailed drawings / product specifications; assisting the Production Controller in implementing and maintaining the production plan; ensuring time critical builds and despatches are prioritised and maintained; identify defective and unacceptable components and take corrective and long term preventative action and assist in the testing of completed products to ensure they meet the required performance.

The successful individual is likely to be time served Mechanical Engineer, qualified to City & Guilds, NVQ level 3, ONC or equivalent and demonstrate a proven track record of working on the assembly of high precision components, instrumentation or products within a clean room environment, working to ISO 9000:2008 standards.

Our client is looking for pro-active individuals who are team players and can establish working relationships with other departments.

This position is offering a salary of £20,000 - £30,000 + overtime, contributory pension, sick pay scheme, share options, on site canteen facility and 20 days holiday rising to 25 days with service.
