Geoscientist
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Geoscience Supervisor and/ or VP NV G&G this position is responsible and accountable for the geophysical and geological interpretation of CGGVeritas Multi-Client seismic and well data in support of the Multi-Client Business Division.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Enhance the market value of our Data Library seismic with geological reports.
Support licence application to be made for exploration acreage
Increase the value of licenced blocks to promote the acreage fro drilling programmes
Provide geological support to marketing operations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Solid geological background including hydrocarbon basin analysis
Experience in the use of interpreation software to provide regional and prospect based horizon maps
Well developed analytical skills
Innovation and creativity
Teamwork and cooperation
Initiative, displayed proactively
Good communication and presentation skills both internally and with a customer focus
sound judgement and decision making abilities
Report writing and preparation of presentations
Geological Degree and relevant hydrocarbon exploration MSc
1-2 years of relevant industry experience
Experience in using interpretation software
Knowledge on the application of AVO techniques
