Community and social media are at the very heart of our digital strategy. As well as looking after the UK’s largest online cancer support community, you will be part of a larger team that is developing the way that Macmillan uses social media and helping us all to understand, grow and mobilise our audiences online. And, while we reached over four million people online last year, as we celebrate our centenary, we want to reach even more.
You have a crucial role to play in leading and developing a small but dynamic group driving the growth, mobilisation and management of our online community. And your success will help us create, develop and manage networks which are even more highly-valued by people affected by cancer, health and social care professionals, our fundraisers and supporters.
An outstanding communicator with a track record in managing and moderating a large online community, you’ll ensure we keep it safe, supported and legal. Alongside the excellent understanding of relevant web technologies and the community platform, it’s important that you can demonstrate both the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team and a good understanding of online community management.
