University of Nottingham - School of Veterinary Medicine & Science

The University of Nottingham's School of Veterinary Medicine and Science (SVMS) and the Scarsdale Veterinary Group have established an exciting and long term partnership as part of our 'Clinical Associate' model: delivering clinical rotations at high quality veterinary establishments, taught by highly motivated clinical educators, and lead by University of Nottingham staff. Working with our Clinical Associate the Scarsdale Veterinary Group we will be opening a state of the art small animal hospital based in Derby in July 2011. We are currently seeking to appoint further clinical academic staff to complement our current staff and are especially seeking staff within the following disciplines:

Small Animal Neurology

Small Animal Ophthalmology

Diagnostic Imaging

Small Animal Oncology

Small Animal Surgery

Candidates should possess a primary veterinary degree that is able to be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and further qualifications to Certificate or Diploma level in the relevant specialisation.

Salary, depending on skills and experience, will be within the range:

Clinical Lecturer scale: £37,428 - £48,224 per annum (salary can progress to £55,904 per annum, subject to performance).

Clinical Associate Professor scale: £51,161 - £63,865 per annum (salary can progress to £76,239 per annum, subject to performance).

In addition, a non-consolidated clinical supplement of up to 20% (dependent upon clinical duties and role) is available for these posts. The School will consider part-time employment for these posts.

It is a condition of these posts that satisfactory enhanced disclosure is obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau.
