A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Transport First Line Manager in our Supply Chain Division based in Thrapston, Northampton.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, co-ordinating, supervising and reporting upon the work activities of the team; providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training & development.
Key Accountabilities
Manage staffing levels to meet volumes and productivity KPI's
Team management
Direct the daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members
Facilitate effective communication
Manage all disciplinary and grievances in line with HR policy
Ensure company policies are communicated, applied and enforced
Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
Deliver team performance reviews, development and/or succession planning as required
Support and promote 'continual improvement' activities: First choice, M.A.D, 'Being the Best'
Manage subcontractor performance with DHL parameters
Work in collaboration with other DHL Supply Chain sites to maximize efficiencies and best practice
Focus on improving productivity levels
