We’re currently looking for a Commercial Advisor in South East Business Development Team to join us at our 80 Strand office in London,SEEL. SEEL sells and actively trades energy related products and services associated with European natural gas,power,and environmental products. By combining the market insights and relentless drive for profitability of our trading desks with our established customer relationships and strong experience in sales and 3rd party gas procurement,SEEL can develop a strong competitive advantage and deliver solid results.

The South East region consists of Spain,France,Italy,Hungry,Austria,Slovakia,Ukraine and Turkey in most of which SEEL has sales offices.

Specific responsibilities of Commercial Advisor South East include:

  • Identify profitable business opportunities in the South East region of Europe in the areas of supply,sales,transport and storage
  • Negotiate and conclude profitable deals with third parties. Manage the approval process on transactions where the Commercial Advisor owns the negotiations and/or bidding process.
  • Identify and manage deal risk.
  • Maintain and build long term relationships with Key Accounts and trading counter parties.
  • Provide support to LNG,Upstream and Downstream parts of Shell
  • Support the development of cross commodity products and work closely with the traders and the other business developers to develop new products..
  • Support the building of a more robust Pan European structural position by working closely with the North West regional managers.
  • ensure strict compliance with all regulatory guidelines
  • Develop market & competitor intelligence
Requirements :
You’ll be able to demonstrate a proven track record and demonstrate achievements in gas business, have established network of relationships in the South/East region and excellent understanding of the gas supply markets drivers (LNG and pipe gas, transportation and infrastructures). You’ll also have experience in market analysis/planning, commodity price risk management, trading with experience in selling and managing "creative" flexible pricing propositions and ability to manage cross-border commercial projects in the complex environment of emerging European gas and power liberalization.
Confident and self-motivated, your excellent interpersonal and communication skills mean you’ll be able to liaise effectively with all levels of management and other businesses. You’ll have the ability to generate creative solutions to problems and be able to see value in transactions and trades and execute new opportunities from broadly defined set of transactional objectives. Good team worker with the ability to support a diversified group of colleagues in a (partly) remote virtual team.
This role is a challenging position within Shell with excellent development opportunities across the Shell group.
You’ll be part of a dynamic team of 5 people lead by Commercial Manager, co-operating closely with Business Development team covering North West Europe, supply managers located in sales offices in the South East and providing support to LNG, Upstream and Downstream parts of Shell.
