Responsibilities: Providing Customer Service:
To work as part of the sales team in order to provide excellent customer service through:
developing and maintaining product knowledge
keeping up-to-date with best sellers, ranges and services in order to introduce link sales, using all appropriate resources
recognising customer buying signals, making the first move to offer help & advice
asking appropriate questions to establish the customer’s needs, confidently explaining features and benefits to customers
identifying customer needs and responding to them quickly and effectively - going the ‘extra mile’ for the customer
demonstrating the highest levels of customer care both on the sales floor and till points
replenishing stock and maintaining high standards of merchandising and housekeeping
maintaining and demonstrating security, Health and Safety awareness at all times
processing enquiries, Home orders (inc. manual orders), Interest Free Credit, gift list, etc
Working As Part Of A Team:
To work as part of the sales team to achieve personal and store objectives through:
supporting and helping colleagues, as and when required
carrying out reasonable additional duties, as and when required e.g. stockroom cover, acting as a training sponsor
showing a genuine interest in other people and willingness to help
having the ability and willingness to acquire job knowledge through self development and by learning from others
demonstrating flexibility in order to meet store needs and key events such as Christmas, sales, bank holidays and stock-take
Good Communication:
To communicate effectively with line management on a daily basis to ensure:
adherence to all Company policies and procedures e.g. till operation, timekeeping, absence reporting procedures etc
awareness of, and actively supporting, Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring that standards are adhered to and maintained at all times
comprehension of the needs and requirements of colleagues, customers and managers
Personal Effectiveness:
Using initiative at all times
Understanding new information (e-learning, system updates and notices)
Maintaining good attendance level, following Company absence reporting procedures
Enthusiastic, performing all tasks to the highest standard (e.g. Customer service, recovery, merchandising, stockroom standards)
Having the ability and willingness to acquire job related knowledge through self development and by learning from others
