The Role:
You will be a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in continuous improvement using lean methodologies and substantive process engineering practices throughout the manufacturing operation.
Responsibilities:
Represent manufacturing in new programme and change control meetings and interface between Product Engineering and Operations
Specification and introduction of capable manufacturing processes and equipment into the site, following lean principles and the 3 maintenance level strategy
Good understanding of operation lines, key processes and key systems
Delivering level 3 process engineering support and corrective work on current assets and systems
Continuous understanding of current asset and process performance and run a programme of improvement
Support maintenance activity
Deploy and maintain necessary documentation including; Standard Operation sheets, MTM studies, process flows and PFMEA
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience of working within a JIT high volume manufacturing environment specifically with automated assembly/injection moulding processes and at least 5 years experience in either the Automotive OEM or leading 1st tier sector is essential

Robots - pick & place and 6 axis
Vacuum forming

CAD layout/Computer programming/PLC programming
Torque control systems
DOE & Process capability studies
Root cause analysis
