Based: Stagecoach, Wheatsheaf, Sunderland SR5 1AQ
Salary: £9.06 ph
Hours: PT 2.5 days per week (20 hours)
Start Date: 1st December 2013
We are looking for a confident and passionate individual to assist the Stagecoach UK Bus Marketing Team in delivering a successful programme of marketing activity for the company. You will have a natural interest in marketing and design and will be looking for a role where you wish to provide real support within a dynamic working environment, at the same time as being able to learn your marketing craft and develop your career within a supportive team.
You should be educated to FE level (A-level/BTEC/NVQ or equivalent), preferably with some focus on a marketing-related discipline, and hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs (C or above).
The role will focus on providing administrative support to the marketing team, including tasks ranging from web analysis to organising meetings and events, as well as general office admin. In addition to this, you will provide specific support to the UK Bus Senior Designer in carrying out design admin tasks for both digital and print media. Experience of Adobe Creative Suite and Google Analytics is therefore advantageous.
You should be hard-working and reliable, confident communication at all levels and have an excellent command of the English language.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To work within the UK Bus marketing team to support them in delivering marketing activity within the business. Specifically, to carry out support and administrative duties for your colleagues within the marketing department and to assist the UK Bus Senior Designer in carrying out design admin tasks for both digital and print media.
General Marketing Duties
Assisting with day-to-day marketing activity and campaigns
Answering telephone enquiries and dealing with post
Carrying out invoicing and administration duties
Assisting with the implementation and analysis of surveys and research
Conducting web usage analysis and producing associated reports
Assisting to organise meetings and events
Updating and administrating various UK Bus websites and internal archives and resources such as brand guidelines, artwork downloads and image libraries
Content copywriting for web and print
Administration of affiliate marketing accounts
Updating and amending existing artwork for marketing and advertising materials, timetables and customer information
Typesetting and administration of internal communications materials such as staff briefings, guides and handbooks
Testing marketing materials onboard vehicles
Liaising with internal clients from UK Bus marketing departments
Liaising with printers and third party suppliers
Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work
5 GCSEs minimum
Qualified to at least A-Level/BTEC/NVQ or equivalent
Marketing-related qualification preferred
Passion for marketing
Experience of google analytics preferred
Confident communicating at all levels
Hard working and reliable
Excellent command of English
Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign essential, Flash and Dreamweaver) beneficial.
