Johnson Controls has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst (Estimates QS) to join their team based in Leeds. The successful candidate will be working in conjunction the Finance Manager, team of Commercial Assistants and Project Managers this role will hold responsibility for all finance and commercial aspects, with particular focus on the Client Capital Expenditure Programmes of Work and providing Feasibility Studies and Cost Proposals for the Estimate process and the preparation of Monthly Reports, validation of Contractors Proposals and Commercial Management of the individual Projects to the agreement of the Final
The Role of the Finance Analyst (Estimates QS):
Ability to develop feasibilities/estimates and prepare detailed recommendations for the client
Ability to prepare and analyze Budgets and Forecasts as required for all aspects of costs within the Project Environment
Develop strong relationships with the Project Team, Commercial Team, Operational Team and client Operational Managers
Understand KPI's including identifying means of enhancing the measures and developing robust means of recording and monitoring measures
Close down of all PAL projects within the timescale of the client
Responsible for managing all commercial aspects of the client estimate spend.
Continued development and adherence of Commercial Audit Processes
Provision of Financial Analysis to all stakeholders
Ability to communicate with suppliers and agree outstanding issues
Liaise effectively with suppliers over measurement/ property queries where required
Build successful working relationships with internal and external clients
The ideal candidate should have/be:
Minimum part Qualified or equivalent (BSC Quantity Surveying/member of RICS)
Thorough understanding of Contract Procedures and strong negotiating skills
Intermediate to advanced IT skills
Strong customer services skills and experience
Service oriented attitude combined with innovative thinking
Diplomatic, tactful and approachable
An able negotiator with an ability to deal equally with junior and senior staff alike, to be firm in ensuring protocols are adhered to.
Ability to deliver management reports and information to deadlines
