Nature Publishing Group is recruiting for an assistant editor to work on a cross-disciplinary project, providing an exciting opportunity to work with the editorial team of a number of leading journals. This position primarily involves curation and peer-review of user-generated validation data in a publically available database of antibody information. The antibody database project is the of an ground-breaking collaboration between a leading supplier of antibody validation data and Nature Publishing Group
The starting date will be from March 2011 and this appointment runs initially for 18 months, with possible renewal thereafter.
Candidates should have a strong background in biological sciences and a PhD, ideally with extensive experience and knowledge of antibodies and their application. Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail are key attributes, as is an ability to work efficiently with colleagues in a calm and flexible manner to firm deadlines. Although previous editorial experience would be beneficial, this is not essential, as training will be provided.
The position will be based in Nature Publishing Group’s London office, and the terms and conditions are highly competitive, reflecting the importance and responsibility of the role.
