The Product Manager Personal Loans, Acquisition Manager role is based within Customer Value Management.
The role of the Product Manager Personal Loans, Acquisition Manager is to develop and implement the most profitable Personal Lending Propositions across HSBC, M&S and First Direct that meet our customers needs, ensuring profitability and constantly evaluating, maintaining and improving them.
Your responsibilities will include:
Joint responsibility for the product AOP, comprising income and bad debt from Personal Loan, Flexiloan, Professional Studies Loan, Loan Account, Managed Loan
In depth understanding of the P&L and volume targets for Personal Lending products
Define and develop the best in class processes to make it easy for customers to buy and upgrade and request resources to develop and implement change
Define the Marketing needs and work with Marketing colleagues, Retail Credit, Business Risk and Analytics to agree the campaign and creative solution
Stay ahead through compliant innovation (subject to resource availability)
Drive the banks interest in and support for your product
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Personal Loans or lending knowledge and experience
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. working closely with Marketing and Credit Risk and/or Analytics
Availability to undertake the travel required for this role, i.e. as required by the business
Role relevant qualifications, i.e.marketing/business related degree or relevant work experience is desirable but not essential
Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. product management is desirable but not essential
A flexible and adaptable approach to change and will support others to respond in a similar way
Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
Contributed productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals
Experience of making prompt and practical business decision, even in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectives and taking responsibility for outcomes
Planned projects and activities systematically in line with business priorities, using a variety of analysis and problem solving techniques
Experience of successful budget management and use of numerical data to assesses and report on performance and/or identify business issues and opportunities
The base location for this role is London.
