IT Technical Architects with skills /experience in either Systems Security Infrastructure, Communications, and / or Software Applications are required urgently for a high profile Cyber Security project based in the Middle East.
Salary £60K-80K + c25% uplift for time spent outside of the UK (c8-9 months in the first 12 months reducing thereafter) + extensive corporate benefits package.
In this role as Architect you will be responsible for owning a particular aspect of the solution supporting a major technology driven transformational change programme based in the Middle East. The architected solution will address large, national scale, mission critical requirements.
Experience of intelligence, security and law enforcement customers and solutions would be advantageous. Additionally, whilst not essential any Arabic language skills would also be beneficial.
You will be required to work in a friendly Middle Eastern country for extended periods, with travel to the UK, Italy and other locations as necessary. It is essential that candidates are both willing to work overseas and are also be eligible for the required work visas.

Develop architecture solutions using industry standard architecture frameworks with specialisms in one or more of the following:
Enterprise architecture
Business architecture
Information architecture
Application architecture
Technical architecture

Role activities:
Define and conduct structured information gathering activities (workshops, surveys and structured interviews) with operational and customer subject matter experts to identify relevant capability requirements
Develop architecture responses to the agreed customer capability requirement including roadmaps and transitional architectures
Present proposed solution elements or architectures to business and customer stakeholders for discussion, review or approval
Ensure coverage, integrity and integration of assigned architectural area(s)
Participate in associated governance reviews and processes
Lead discussions relating to solution decisions, benefits and trade-offs with customer representatives as appropriate for your area of responsibility
Qualifications / Experience
Proven experience of using architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, MODAF, Zachman; associated modelling languages such as UML/SysML and enterprise architecture toolsets such as Enterprise Architect or MooD
Experience of defining and integrating complex architectures blending new and existing systems/assets whilst ensuring continuity of customer operations
Experience of identifying, analysing, documenting and presenting solution options and trade-offs to business and customer stakeholders along with contribution to associated business cases
Experience of delivering large mission critical system of systems solutions.
Any previous experience of working in, or with, the Middle East region would be advantageous.
Able to confidently discuss concepts around information security, communications technology (not just telephony/voice), big data and associated analysis approaches
