This is an exciting opportunity to join the Resourcing Partner team, where you will support the UK Business units. You will provide a client focused recruitment service, applying resourcing knowledge and expertise to plan and identify talent and capability requirements which enable the business to have the right people in place at the right time to achieve business strategy. You will also develop and implement cost effective end to end recruitment campaigns for senior vacancies to provide high calibre candidates for the business, securing the preferred candidate through effective management of the offer process.
Please note that this is a 9 month Fixed Term Contract covering Maternity and involves weekly travel to London, as well as regular travel to other sites to support business needs.
Responsibilities
Build and develop relationships with the relevant Head of HR and senior stakeholders to understand the capability and talent needs of the business area in delivering its business strategy, contributing knowledge of the market, location and talent pipeline to the creation of plans.
Develop an annual recruitment plan for the business unit to meet internal and external talent acquisition objectives, supporting succession planning and aiding the contracting of external services from third party suppliers.
Build and implement recruitment campaigns for senior roles at F+ and functional graduate schemes, for agreed business unit/client, applying resourcing expertise to identify and implement the most effective sourcing and selection strategies to secure the best candidates for Friends Life. Oversee the delivery of recruitment campaigns and recruitment administrative services at E and below through third parties.
Coach and support Line Managers to undertake resourcing activity to a high standard and to meet their planned needs.
Ensure all administrative tasks, process requirements, invoicing and compliance needs are effectively managed and satisfied for vacancies owned; provide high quality feedback to candidates on request.
Manage the internal and external candidate offer management process in order to secure candidates commitment at the most appropriate level and within the Reward Framework and policies set out in Friends Life.
Source, analyse and report on market intelligence data for candidates, competitors and local conditions to contribute to business decisions regarding the recruitment of key business resources. Provide timely and accurate management information on resourcing activity within agreed client group/vacancy portfolio.
Contribute to the review, improvement, development and implementation of resourcing standards, processes and techniques within the Resourcing team and Friends Life business, both on an ongoing basis and in a project capacity.
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
Experience of end to end recruitment in an in-house corporate team at a senior/executive level.
Knowledge of recruitment sourcing techniques and methods including use of intranet portals, job boards, social media and other sourcing techniques.
Demonstrable experience of Competency Based Interviewing.
Demonstrably experience of building and maintaining effective relationships with a diverse customer base.
Psychometric testing qualification (SHL preferred) – both aptitude and personality – desirable.
Demonstrable experience of building, improving and maintaining effective relationships with external suppliers and/or 3rd parties.
Demonstrable experience of sourcing and analysing both internal and external resourcing market data and producing and gaining agreement to recommendations.
Demonstrable experience of writing and editing attraction communication for both internal and external markets.
Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail.
Experience of employment law and Financial Services Authority requirements for recruitment and selection and redundancy law.

CIPD qualified (or equivalent) an advantage.
Collaborative approach to work across functions and business units within Friends Life.
