The School of Sport and Education is made up of the Sport Sciences and Education subject areas, which have consistently been rated highly in national league tables. This reflects a strong tradition in Sport Sciences and Education coupled with major investment in state-of-the-art sports and laboratory facilities for research and teaching leading to significant growth and development over the last five years. We are looking to recruit two professors/readers in Education to consolidate further the School's research and teaching profile. One of the candidates may be appointed as subject leader for Education. Applicants will be recognised international scholars with an established reputation in an area of research relevant to the work in the Education subject area, a significant research and publication record, a demonstrated ability to access research grants and other funding and coherent plans for future research. Applicants interested in the role of subject leader should have leadership and management experience to enable them to lead the further development of the subject area.
