Basic Purpose of Job:
Ensure Qualitative delivery

Maintain Engineering and Design Safety Assurance

Management of Budget control

Delivery to Schedules and programme

Continuous Cost Report monitoring

Enforcement of Change Management

Adherence to Company Management system procedures and guidelines.

Custodian of Engineering team competency Assurance

Manage local rates and maintain rate bandings to status

Main Duties:
Manager for Engineering timely and qualitative delivery in accordance with the management system

Day to day interface with both onshore and offshore client teams and project teams.

Financial and man-hour control for Engineering scopes of work

Manage assigned project resources to meet asset work requirements within designated solutions team

Principal Responsibilities

Agree discipline CTRs, Estimates, KPIs and budgets for Scopes of Work

To implement the estimate challenge process via Tiering, solutions challenge and LEAN Engineering

Develop and agree estimate with Client and provide supporting documentation as per project requirements

Monitoring and reporting of team workload and resources

To identify Scope, programme and deliverable impact Change in a timely manner

Ensure Deliverables Lists dates are agreed with Project services and aligned to the level 2 and 3 programmes

To ensure Scope, programme and deliverable impact Change is communicated across disciplines

Maintain Engineering team competency Assurance

Enforce Management system procedures and guidelines

Education & Qualifications:
HNC minimum.

Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
Financial Focus

Planning and Organising

Risk Management

Decision Maker

Can Influence and Persuade

HSE Awareness - CDM, ATEX, PED etc

Ability to run a number of projects concurrently, with more than one customer. This requires the ability to run parallel schedules

Experience:
10 years experience in engineering Oil and Gas experience highly desirable, but petrochemicals acceptable.
