Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning: Lead the development of the B2B marketing strategy and plan for Staples Advantage, to deliver the business objectives in line with the corporate strategy

Brand Management : Ambassador for the brand and the customer experience across the Advantage business. Delivery and development of the value proposition. Management of the Staples Advantage brand communication to adhere to global guidelines. Liaison and working with European and US colleagues to share and implement best practice

People : Lead, manage and develop a small marketing team, including in-house graphic design, to effectively deliver the plan across the full marketing mix; this includes catalogues, direct mail, digital marketing, events and sales support. Collaborate effectively with and between key stakeholders such as sales, merchandising, pricing and vendors to develop and deliver new initiatives and ongoing projects e.g. catalogues

Financial management: Propose effective use of marketing funds to support the plan delivery and manage the expenditure and reporting in line with budget on an ongoing basis

Campaign & Project Management: Co-ordinate input from key stakeholders and execute the effective and timely delivery of all marketing campaigns and projects. Work closely with merchants to support them in securing funding from vendors and developing collaborative partnerships. Work closely with sales directors to identify and deliver the most effective marketing tools to support the business objectives e.g. new business development and ongoing account management. Develop and deliver internal communication tools e.g. SAVO, newsletters and business updates to ensure key stakeholders are fully informed of marketing activity and supported with access to the appropriate information and tools. Manage and co-ordinate brand / company events and exhibitions e.g. annual sales conference, catalogue launches, trade shows, networking events. Manage all internal incentive activity. Review and evaluate all activity and document learnings for future application

Digital Management & eCommerce: Ongoing management and development of the Staples Advantage website and webshop in terms of content, targeting, user experience and sales delivery. Analysis all digital activity using standard measures such as CTR, bounce rate etc, putting forward proposals for improvement and development. Put forward proposals for further development of the digital strategy beyond traditional B2B activities, with a view to reaching and converting prospects

PR: Develop the PR strategy and plan, working with stakeholders to deliver key initiatives. Support the global CSR strategy at a local level

Knowledge, skills & experience:Education and Experience:
Marketing degree (or appropriate equivalent degree) or CIM qualification Skills:

Experience creating and managing marketing campaigns
Excellent communication skills
Ability to liaise at all levels and work to tight deadlines
Excellent copywriting skills
Analytical awareness
Advanced PC skills essential (Microsoft Office, Excel, Powerpoint).
