We are seeking a Personnel/HR Assistant to cover Maternity Leave.
You will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources Manager in delivering a professional HR service to all employees at their Swindon site.

Duties and Responsibilities:
ØFirst line HR advice and support for line management
ØProvide an excellent level of support in the absence of the Human Resources Manager I.e. involvement at Business Team meeting, All Employee Talks etc.
ØMaintenance of Human Resources reporting data
ØAdministration of the absence management system in line with current policy
ØSupport Manager’s with recruitment and selection process
ØCo-ordination of training requirements using internal knowledge/experience and external training providers
ØWorks with operations to ensure the maintenance and development of the Health and Safety Programme
ØEnsures that policies and procedures are maintained and administered in a consistent manner
ØInvolvement in the annual pay review process in the absence of the Human Resources Manager
ØDevelopment and administration of the Performance Planning Process & Training Matrix and such processes
ØTo provide administrative support and HR advice at disciplinary and grievance interviews according to company policies and procedures
ØMaintenance of the Time in Attendance System
ØOther additional tasks as appropriate

Person Specification
ØExcellent communication skills written and verbal at all levels of the company
ØAbility and willingness to develop knowledge of employment law
ØExperience in a Manufacturing/distribution environment
ØStrong system and administration skills
ØAbility to act in an advisory capacity
ØTeam player
ØDesire to get involved in diverse and challenging work
ØCPP qualification
ØExperience with disciplinaries - be able to advise managers on this process
ØMinimum 2 years relevant HR experience
ØAdvise managers on handling staff issues
