The company design, manufactures, install, commission, service, overhauls and replace large scale moving assemblies and equipment for a wide range of industries including the oil gas and petrochemical company.
Two of the Senior Engineers will be looking to retire over the next 18 months to 2 years. You will be extensively trained to take over the post.
Initially you will spend time in the UK Production Plant gaining familiarisation on the wide range of systems, you will then spend 3-6 months servicing and repairing the systems across UK, which allows you fast and easy access to technical support as your knowledge base builds up. For the next 6 months you will be UK based with increasing short haul overseas trips to Europe, Ireland etc. 6 months later, provided you are up to speed you will be released to do the complete role with some long haul destinations, recent ones have included Philippines, Brazil, Australia, USA, Caribbean, Far East and Middle East.
The role will involve regular time staying away from home, initially this will be short duration 2-3 days and you will be home most weekends. However, later you may be away on new install projects for 4-6 weeks at a time.
Day to today you will be overseeing the installation of large equipment, personally installing hydraulics, pneumatic, electrical and electronic systems, commissioning, completing routine maintenance, breakdown repairs, fault finding, assisting in full overhauls on the client’s site or dis-assembling and removal back to your site.
To be suitable for this role you must have been a fully time served Mechanical Engineering Apprentice with good electrical understanding, you have probably been field based and worked on cranes, oil field equipment, wind turbines, diesel generator sets, lifting equipment, petrochemical equipment or similar equipment, good head for heights, ability and desire to take on comprehensive training.
In return you will receive a steady growing salary, commitment from a friendly stable company and probably the last job you will ever need in your career.
