The electronic and electrical engineer will be trained to carry out the folowing. Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. Essential Responsibilities The candidate should have a technical aptitude for engineering tools and systems.
Duties will include:-
Design the architecture and electronics of electronic modules and products
Integrate and verify electronic products and modules.
Eventually provide technical advice within the department and to customers.
Diagnose and fix design problems in new and existing designs
Design of control systems and component parts for the oil and gas industry
Document technical data consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
Participate on teams assigned to address organisational initiatives and generic issues e.g. R&D, support of production issues, support of procurement issues
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
Cooperation with designers to provide best in class solutions.
Interpretation of international codes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of Procedural Instructions and Codes of Practice.
Conduct qualification testing of new products.
Assist Systems Engineers and marketing department to establish optimum technical solutions in support of new business acquisition in the form of bid preparation and technical reviews.
Undertake prototype and test equipment assembly and test in the engineering laboratories.
Support system testing of designs – both on-site and offsite. Support may comprise technical direction and physical assistance (undertaking of the testing)
Qualifications/Requirements
Degree Qualified in Electronic Engineering or a related subject or equivalent level of experience.
Experience of design using Analogue/digital techniques
Ability to deliver to demanding time and cost goals.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Be familiar with relevant codes of practice and national and international standards.eg ISO 13628-6, BS7671.
Have experience of engineering interaction with a manufacturing environment.

PC proficiency, e.g. software design tools, MS office.
Understanding of EMC and Qualification
Knowledge of power switching applications
The ability to work across global teams and remove barriers.
