Tesco's new strategic direction and ambition is to create real value for Tesco, supplier partners and customers by maximizing communication and engagement with our in market commercial teams and our supplier partners to deliver the desired profitable growth our global scale should unlock. For this purpose, they have created a brand new structure and an Insights and Category team within that structure.

The Marketing Insight Manager will produce and deliver category insight and data based on market, category and customer analysis and research which inform category strategy across the Group.

By working with their suppliers they can understand where their markets fall on the development cycle and thus be able to predict where the category is moving to and how to get there. This will ultimately enable them to develop winning category strategies for their markets which meet the customer's needs and thus help to drive Tesco's competitive advantage.

You will identify categories, by market, where significant opportunities to drive sales growth exist and develop strategies to inform the in-market customer plans. You'll work with Dunhumby to ensure the customer, consumer market and category insights that are relevant for a market are included as inputs to the JBP person, resulting in higher quality of business plans that deliver significant improvement for customers at the shelf edge.

a) Centrally produce category insights based on market, category and customer analysis and research which inform category strategy across the Group. These insights will inform the JBP planning process and promptly identify category and supplier partner issues and opportunities; and track initiatives landed in market.
b) Work with the in country commercial teams to help them identify and draw upon the relevant insight from consumers and the market to build higher quality JBP's that result in sales outperformance.
c) Work in development of an enhanced global scorecard which will align Nielsen, Dunnhumby and GMIS data, by supplier partner, by category, by country. You will engage with other Group commercial teams to ensure their needs are also captured. Working with Group IT to ensure they flag supplier partners and their brands within our systems, to enable global reporting.
d) Develop ways of sharing insights across the Group.

The main purpose of the role is to enable the supplier partners, dunnhumby and Tesco commercial teams to work together to use customer insights as part of their decision making process in building plans that result in sales outperformance in Tesco.

d) Good report writing, presenting and influencing skills.
e) Good knowledge of all standard IT applications, especially Powerpoint and Excel.
f) Ability to work with people at all levels, internal and external.
g) Strong stakeholder and project management and networking skills.
