Our client , a leading law firm based on Newcastle', Quayside, seeks to recruit a Secretary for a Partners, to work within Wealth Management (Private Capital Group)
The role involves providing a secretarial service including the production of
general correspondence, file management, diary management and
document production. There will be an emphasis on working closely with the
Partner on management of incoming post, e-mails and travel arrangements
and you will be expected to deal effectively with matters on his behalf during
You will have proven organisational and communication skills which will
enable you to meet challenges head on in a calm, efficient and professional
manner. A desire to provide the best possible service in order to meet their
clients' expectations and their own service delivery levels is essential. You
should also be pro active in your approach to anticipating the needs of your
fee earners with experience in prioritising a heavy workload and working to
tight deadlines. Confidence in your own abilities will enable you to take on
extra responsibilities and develop the role.
Skills and experience To be successful in your application you should have excellent IT skills, including a minimum accurate typing speed of 50-60 wpm,
Intermediate/Advanced level Word, Outlook and Excel.
A sound, legal secretarial background is desirable although not essential.
We require a highly motivated secretary, keen to take on additional
challenges and responsibilities , who is sufficiently confident in his or her
abilities to work using their initiative with minimal support.
The successful candidate will be organised, professional and have excellent
communication skills both on the telephone and face to face. The nature of
the work with our clients means that discretion, sensitivity and confidentiality
Adaptability, self-motivation, confidence and a flexible attitude are key skills
for this role.
