Our client, the UKs largest independent supplier of hair and beauty products to the trade is currently looking for a sales/customer focused Store/Business Development Manager for their store at Eastbourne

A family business established over 60 years ago, our client has built its great reputation on the quality of its staff and the excellent service provided to customers.

With overall responsibility for the business development of the store, including the management of a team of 8 staff, the job holder will report to the Regional Manager, delivering the highest level of customer care and service at all times.

Using your skills and experience you will maximise sales and profitability, lead & motivate your team, delegate and prioritise tasks effectively and take responsibility for stock, cash and store security.

To be successful in the role you will have:

experience of managing a similar sized team
exemplary customer service and selling skills
commercial expertise and business development skills
a proven successful track record of working in a sales target trade or retail environment
marketing & merchandising skills
Our client is offering a competitive salary of circa £21,500 - £23,500 and a benefits package which includes a bonus scheme, with the opportunity to earn £7,000 per annum, plus uncapped furniture commission, private health care cover and staff discounts.

The store trading hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm (exc Bank Holidays) and Sundays 10am - 1pm with late opening until 8pm on Monday and Thursday only.

Knowledge of hair and beauty products would be an advantage but not essential. A full UK driving licence is required.
