A UK wide Telecoms company is looking for a diverse competent network engineer to join their team in the Managed Services Support Centre. The Company has seen a growth in client establishment and an opportunity for a Network Specialist has risen.
Your role will be to provide technical assistance, provide an effective, professional response and solution(s) to reported problems, including the proficient diagnosis and repair of complex network and multi-user computer system faults. To ensure that service requests and incidents are responded to inline with the contracted SLA (Service Level Agreements) and escalation parameters. Communicate in all instances in an effective, clear, concise and professional manner with Customer service being paramount. You will work on various projects, support clients needs, providing designs, scope and advice.
Technology skills:
Experience/knowledge of PIX/ASA firewall, Checkpoint firewall, IPS/IDS and VPN.
Working Knowledge of Juniper and HP equipment
Routing and Switching and dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP etc)
Extensive experience /knowledge of all layer 2 technologies (VTP, STP port security etc)
