Who we are looking for
We have an opportunity for a Senior Associate (a grade below Manager) to join the tax team at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in our East Midlands office.
The opportunity is within our Entrepreneurial companies and Private Clients team (EPC) who advise a broad range of clients, ranging from small owner managed businesses to international groups and private equity backed companies in a wide range of industry sectors. The focus of the work will be a mixture of compliance and advisory, and will cover a wide range of issues such as structuring, transactional tax issues and personal taxation advice to name a few.
You will be working directly with managers/senior managers and also, at times, our tax director and partner, providing tax advice to your portfolio of clients. Our aim is seamless client service, from complex tax planning to compliance related matters, working as Trusted Advisors to our clients.

About the role
Responsibilities will include:
Run a challenging and varied client portfolio, working to deadlines.
Run and supervise project work delegated to junior staff and its delivery to the client.
Build and develop client relationships.
Financial management of a client portfolio.
Attendance at office business development events.

Either ACA or CTA qualified with experience in or an interest in the EPC arena. The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and will be expected to develop their understanding of tax principles. The candidate should also work well in a team environment and be well organised. In addition, the candidate should have proven people and project management skills for this role.
