Assistant Manager who’ll get customers involved

Our retail stores are full of great gadgets - from 100Mb broadband and TV that lets customers catch up on their favourite shows to mobile and phone services. And you’ll help our customers to get their hands on them - first by trying them out and then buying them in the bundle that’s right for them.
How? With your natural sales skills, obviously. And by developing your leadership ability, motivating your team, or keeping stock up to date. So you’ll be used to working closely with the store manager and meeting sales targets. But most of all, you’ll be excited about showcasing our products for every customer that walks through the doors.
You must be willing to work flexible and, where required, extra hours as required (including evenings), by the job and agreed with the Regional Sales Manager. The role is not a standard 9 to 5 job and will include Saturdays and Sundays.
To lead a store team to achieve exceptional results and take full ownership for maximising own performance service levels
To support the achievement of business goals, targets and key performance indicators in order to support revenue generation and increase store profitability
To take responsibility for the store, particularly in the absence of the Store Manager, including security, stock and health and safety
To ensure store compliance with all Virgin Media’s policies and procedures, ensuring a quality outcome
You may also be asked to undertake additional duties as directed by your Store Manager (e.g. key holder responsibility).
Essential Skills and Experience
Experience within a retail specialist assisted sale environment.
Experience of managing medium sized team (approximately 4-6 people).
Highly motivated with a desire to work in a target driven sales environment.
Knowledge of mobile and cable products and services.
