Personal Lending Decisions provide a significant contribution to the Lloyds Banking Group, assessing and agreeing lending across Current Accounts, Cards and Loans across both the Lloyds and HBOS heritages. This is undertaken from an operational service centre in Brighton.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for confident and positive individuals to join the team in Brighton. The role is telephone based and involves the manual assessment of lending applications that have been referred by the Banks' credit scoring systems. Using a personal lending discretion you will be empowered to make decisions that take into account credit risk, compliance and responsible lending guidelines.

We are committed to providing professional coaching and supportive management to help you achieve monthly performance targets. The successful candidates will receive a comprehensive package of training, mentoring and coaching support.

Good interpersonal skills and team working abilities would be an asset as well as an ability to both adapt to change and to learn quickly.

Providing excellent customer service is of paramount importance, you will need to be an ambassador for the team. Previous experience in customer services or a financial services institution would be beneficial.

Candidates must be articulate and numerate and be able to adapt their communication styles to converse with a wide range of internal and external customers.

The role is based in a department that opens weekends and evenings and will require flexible working, 5 out of 7 days between 8am - 9pm. This flexibility will be subject to reasonable notice and with proper regard for your personal and domestic circumstances.
