Role
      • To devise and manage a new IT Service Delivery model for Cobham in Europe to support the migration of multiple sites to a central service. Initially the services cover messaging, Internet access, IT security and three applications for a user community of 3,500 operating across 31 sites in five countries. The model must also accommodate support for core applications hosted by external providers

        Key Reponsibilities


        Design and implement an IT service model for Cobham in Europe to support the transition of multiple projects and the target IT infrastructure

              Delivery of IT Services in the following functional areas: - Service and Support Strategy, Support Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, Configuration Management and Service Management

              Review Service Management tools currently deployed across Cobham and determine suitability for proposed Service model. If necessary evaluate and implement alternative platforms with support from ERoW IT Procurement Manager

              Define standard performance metrics for IT services in Europe covering local and centralised operations

              Prepare SLA’s and regular performance reports for IT services in Europe covering local and centralised operations

              Define and develop an effective operating structure for internal IT 1 st and 2 nd Line support staff.

              Lead and coach staff to achieve targeted performance

              Agree staff job descriptions and performance objectives

              Manage recruitment, selection, induction, appraisal, performance, training and development processes of both permanent and contract staff in IT Service Delivery team
              Core Competencies

              Extensive experience of successful IT Service Management in a corporate environment

              Deep knowledge of IT Service Management including methodologies, frameworks and regulatory requirements

              Strong IT technical knowledge of at least one recognised IT discipline such as application development or IT infrastructure

              Effective stakeholder management and communication skills

              Firm leadership for direct reports and teams
