University of Surrey - School of Management

The School of Management at the University of Surrey is an internationally recognised centre for management research and teaching, accredited by AACSB and AMBA. We run one of the largest management PhD programmes in the UK and our research is funded by the ESRC, the NHS, the EU, NGOs and business firms. The University of Surrey has a strong entrepreneurial tradition; our research park houses spin-offs and other firms that employ over 2000 people.

We have a new senior lectureship that offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the continued success and development of what will become the newly formed Department of Health Care Management and Policy.

Senior Lecturer Health Care Management (Ref: 7993)

£45,336- £51,025 per annum

With research interests surrounding primary care organisations, quality and management practices in the health care sector, you will be looking to join a subject group comprising a diverse range of individuals with both academic and practitioner backgrounds. You will support and further add value to the Department's existing strong links with health services and be enthusiastic about pursuing in-depth research within the field.

You will have a strong grounding in health care policy and have an excellent, current, publication record in the top journals. You should hold a PhD in a relevant discipline and will bring with you an excellent record of achievement in scholarship and research. You will be keen to collaborate in developing your profile further and be able to demonstrate experience of securing research funding. You should take pride in providing high quality teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, consistently working to improve methods of delivery and assessment. You should be able to demonstrate leadership and management skills by successfully supporting and developing junior academic staff and research students.
