We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Communications Administrator to join The Probation Service based in their head office in Brighton.
The purpose of the role will be to support with media, public relations, events and general administration.
Duties will include:
·Monitoring media, checking local papers and online for relevant stories, collation news items into a briefing for Directors and finding interesting things to tweet about.
·Dealing with simple media enquiries and carrying out proactive reporting on positive stories.
·Supporting FOI (freedom of information) requests and processing.
·Offering support in organising Events for the organisation.
·Organising meeting rooms, dealing with general enquiries and helping with filing, data entry and photocopying.
The ideal candidate will have:
·A strong proven administrative background.
·Experience in organising events.
·A strong awareness of social media including Twitter, Facebook and Linked In.
·Excellent IT skills and a strong research background.
·Experience with In Design dtp would be advantageous.
This is a temporary role to start ASAP. They are offering full time hours. The role is based in central Brighton and is paying £11.34 per hour.
