We are seeking experienced System Engineers who will be required to support multiple validation projects within a growing test area. The area is responsible for developing diesel fuel injection systems, which includes hardware such as the fuel injection pump, injectors and common rail.

The hardware is manipulated by software which is also part of the department's responsibility. Testing is carried out on rigs (circa 100), which have varied levels of automation, including data logging. Many tests are automated through computer programs.

As Systems Engineer, your key responsibilities will be; writing test programs for the test rigs; manipulating the hardware and software on test to meet the requested parameters; fault finding of both the rig and the items on test, including software; monitoring tests; data capture and fault reporting to internal customer base; calibration support of the test rigs; and working with the internal customer base to meet the given project expectations.

To succeed as Systems Engineer you should ideally have a degree in engineering, and must be able to demonstrate the ability to fulfil the responsibilities described above although training can be provided to ensure that all these responsibilities can be met, as well as to pay attention to your career development within the business.

You must be able to work to given priorities and should have excellent communication skills as the area runs twenty four hours a day and seven days a week.
