Student Health & Wellbeing Adviser

£23,325 - £28,612 per annum (pro rata)
Fixed Term Maternity Cover for up to 12 months
You will be a Registered General Nurse with significant post registration experience and a demonstrable awareness/understanding of the wide range of issues students may present you with. You will be able to demonstrate an up to date PREP portfolio, and will possess proven knowledge of current government health promotion initiatives.
The main purpose of the role is to provide immediate practical and emotional support to those experiencing a wide variety of problems, ensuring their general health and wellbeing is well supported. This varied role will also give you the opportunity to assist with the running of daily drop-in surgeries/clinics and health promotion events for both staff and students. You will be required to have a flexible approach to work to ensuring effective delivery in line with service needs and this will include the need to be responsive in crisis situations outside of normal working hours.
The successful candidate will be requested to undergo Disclosure & Barring Service Clearance (formally CRB) in order to carry out the role. You will also be required to undertake some local travel, therefore access to transport or a means of mobility support will be required.
