Commercial Litigation is seeking to recruit an individual to
assist the existing members of the Liability and Recoveries Team.
The role will involve assisting senior fee earners in the Liability
and Recoveries Team with Personal and Commercial Insurance related cases
including but not limited to; large loss property cases involving damage caused
by fire, flood and other means, liability cases involving contractual and
construction disputes, and subrogated recoveries. The role also involves advising
on complex policy indemnity issues.
In the first instance, the successful candidate will be
working closely with a Lead Fee Earner within the Commercial Litigation Liability
and Recoveries Team, assisting in a number of large loss property and liability
cases. However, the successful candidate will also be expected to handle their
own small caseload of property recovery claims under a scheme operated for a
major household insurer.

documents and preparing précis reports
conferences and Trials with Counsel
with routine correspondence

knowledge, skills and experience
We are looking for a positive and
enthusiastic individual, preferably with insurance litigation experience.
A knowledge and understanding of the types of
disputes handled by the department would be ideal.
An ability to prioritise work and pay
attention to detail is essential.
will be involvement with major and expensive litigation involving liaison with
senior experienced Claims Handlers and therefore the individual will require
the personal skills to deal with such work.
